The Aviation Services Government Programs Intern will provide support to our Government Programs team while learning how each area of this department and business functions. You will gain practical, hands-on experience with working with operational programs supporting the federal government, existing business development / sales teams, and all other aspects of the business. You will have the support, guidance and supervision from an assigned mentor.
The internship will commence in early June 2018 and end in early August 2018. The schedule will be 40 hrs. per week, Monday through Friday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in managing projects, integrating schedules and leading change
Participate in managing a vast supply chain network by participating in contract negotiations and forecasting inventory requirements
Perform a variety of business support services (e.g., process documentation, meeting management, communications)
Learn how to develop, implement, and maintain complex operating plans and performance metrics supporting operational productivity
Identify market trends and coordinate with sales group to anticipate areas of opportunities
Work with other members of the department to learn how the department functions within the company
Work with other employees in different departments to learn how other departments operate within the company
Attend seminars and meetings as assigned
All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; must be at least going into their senior year.
GPA of 3.0 or better
Intermediate and/or advanced user proficiency in MS Excel.
