We are targeting students completing their sophomore or junior year of college who are interested in working in a dynamic and engaging work environment to participate in our internship program. Elkay interns will apply the skills and knowledge developed in college while contributing to exciting real world projects!

The Process Engineering Intern will assist with engineering and manufacturing facility projects while applying their problem solving skills. The student will provide support by performing the following duties:

  • Validate production standards (and Assembly Line Balance (ALB) data) for assembly lines and suggest/implement improvements

  • Update/create routers as needed

  • Provide assistance to Quality Assurance department by providing First Article analysis

  • Provide assistance on assembly line quality issues

  • Support major plant initiatives, Kaizen events, and other strategic goals in the plant


  • Students completing their sophomore or junior year working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field strongly preferred

  • Ability to work collaboratively and/or independently in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Creative problem solving skills essential; strong analytical skills desired.

  • CAD or SolidWorks skills a plus

  • Minimum GPA: 3.0.

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
