Job Description Position Summary:McCain Foods USA is hiring summer interns for our Marketing Department. Reporting to a Brand Manager or Marketing Innovation Manager, the interns will have an opportunity to learn more about and participate in food marketing activities while managing at least one capstone project each, while also supporting select, additional responsibilities. Responsibilities:Manage at least one key project consisting of evaluation/assessment, recommendation preparation, proposal presentation to leadership and implementation. Projects draw from a range of marketing-related topics and involve working cross-functionally with internal teams, such as Insights, Brand Marketing, Sales, Sales Planning and Culinary, Research and Development, Finance and Integrated Supply Chain along with external creative agencies. Project topics include:Product guide and competitive portfolio assessment and matrix improvementRebate performance evaluation and recommendationsDigital brand resource library creationDevelopment and launch of searchable, digital innovation resource librariesPreparation and presentation of innovation project(s) for resourcing approvalCompetitive market assessments with new product opportunity recommendationsLearn and support monthly business analysis and reporting (sales, profits, competitive activity, promotional results, etc.).Support and manage samples across projects, including assisting with inventory management, sample ordering and product preparation for marketing-driven projects, such as quality reviews, cost-savings projects, innovation, and photo shoots.Help to facilitate product cuttings. Manage product sample orders and shipments, assist with inventory management and product preparation.Participate in project research brief and learning plan development. Join weekly innovation project-team meetings and assist project manager(s) as needed. Support or lead other projects/duties as assigned or needed.Requirements:GPA of a 3.0 and above preferred and currently a Junior or Senior pursuing an undergraduate Degree in Marketing, Business or related field. Candidates with strong interest in brand management, consumer packaged goods, food industry or foodservice will be strongly desired.Start and end dates negotiable per school schedule.
