Kimley-Horn & Associates, a multi-discipline design consulting firm and one of Fortune Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For", is searching for a landscape architecture intern for our Lisle, IL office. This position will support our growing Landscape

Architecture and Land Planning practices by providing site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical production. Project experiences will be diverse, as we provide services to both the public and private sectors.

Position Requirements


  • In the process of receiving within the next 12-24 months, a BA or MA in Landscape Architecture/pspanpspan

  • Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Microsoft (Word and Excel) skills

  • Working knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/Arcview, and PowerPoint)/pspanpspan

  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills/pspanpspan

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills/pspanpspan- Positive attitude, team oriented, and a strong work ethic/pspanpspan- Please submit a portfolio or link to your portfolio with your application /pspan

Min. Education Level Bachelor's Degree

Required Major Landscape Architecture

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working for a civil engineering design firm

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
