Business and Analytics Intern – Decatur, IL

ADM Corn Sweeteners

This is a part-time, non-exempt level position.

Position Summary:

Design, build and maintain business planning tools covering logistics, production, and contracting for the Corn Processing group. Duties include designing and developing interactive front-end applications (websites or iOS apps) that interface with the division’s analytical SQL database, under guidance by the current team members. Graphical user interface design aesthetics must be both attractive and functionally intuitive, so knowledge of GUI design techniques is essential. Attention to accuracy with minimal bugs will be necessary for the successful user adoption of the tools. Experience working with well-normalized databases in SQL Server is also a plus (with the help of Entity-Relationship diagrams).

The successful candidate must have high attention to detail, be willing and able to work closely and constructively with current analytics team members and business users, and have a willingness to learn and adapt quickly to changing requirements, developing with an agile approach.

Technological Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Experience with some of the following technologies: HTML, CSS, XML, ASP.Net in VB or C#, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL Server, Objective-C

Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or other relevant science/engineering area.
