CME Group is currently looking for a Global Security Summer intern.
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Corporate Investigator Analyst and Global Security Staff with incident response, investigations, and system processing.
This role is responsible for assisting in investigations, conducting open source research, social media monitoring, editing department policies, and assisting senior staff.
Assisting with the investigation process of new hires and review appropriate records to establish the background, reputation, character, suitability, or qualifications of the subject under review.
Assist in compiling and preparing reports and/or spreadsheets summarizing findings, document all work performed, assist in data analysis, develop and maintain databases containing supporting documentation.
Assist in monitoring social media outlets for potential risks to CME Group.
Review and analyze real time information regarding physical security status of all CME Group facilities and personnel.
Assist CME Group security personnel during emergencies or events that require immediate attention.
Perform other duties as directed.
Education & Experience:
- Currently enrolled in college
Prior analytical experience with a strong interest in incident response
Ability to analyze and summarize data into a report format.
Demonstrate knowledge of social network sites and internet search tools.
Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Power Point, & Outlook.
Ability to effectively evaluate suitability of an applicant and prepare sound recommendations based on research and analysis.
Experience working within stringent deadlines while prioritizing and performing multiple tasks to complete work.
Ability to exercise good judgment in safeguarding confidential and sensitive information and analyze issues objectively and promptly.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
