Wolfram Research, Inc. Number Theory Intern in Champaign, Illinois

Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and the Wolfram Language, is looking for a Number Theory Intern to join its Algorithms R&D department this summer. The intern will work closely with kernel developers on projects related to documentation, feature development and benchmarking for Wolfram's world-class functionality. This is a full time internship and will involve interacting with other teams in the development group, such as the visualization, calculus and geometry teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for number theory and its applications, possess excellent knowledge of mathematical analysis and Mathematica and be an outstanding communicator with strong language skills. The position will be suitable for advanced undergraduates or graduate students in mathematics, the physical sciences or engineering. Knowledge of other software for scientific computation will be an added advantage. Location: Champaign, Illinois
