Our Eagle Test Division located in Buffalo Grove, IL is currently seeking a motivated intern / co-op to develop Design Verification hardware for Teradyne automated test equipment (ATE).

The candidate would work with the hardware engineering team to design hardware and software tools that can be used to improve efficiency in data collection and processing efforts.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Derive requirements and formulate an execution strategy

  • Simulate and defend implementation strategies

  • Work with team members to create a test fixture capable of meeting design targets

  • Develop software and validate functionality on hardware in the lab

  • Develop test plans and test cases

  • Run the test plans and report the results of the test execution

  • Participate in design review meetings

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:

The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience:

Communication

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English

Problem Solving

- Strong analytical problem solving skills

  • Strong sense of team-oriented problem solving techniques

Team Environment

  • Work as a member of a development team

  • Ability to participate in meetings both as a speaker and a listener

  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize individual workload

Technical

  • Programming and debugging in C+- Visual Basic a plus

-Fundamental understanding of electrical principles

-Ability to control and use basic lab equipment

-Schematic, PCB Layout, and analog simulation tool knowledge.

Learning

  • Quick learning curve for new technologies

  • Interest in continued education and/or training

Education and Experience

  • Entry Level

  • Working towards a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
