Daifuku Wynright Corporation Mechanical Engineering Intern - Projects in Bolingbrook, Illinois
The Mechanical Engineering Intern works with the systems engineering group, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and project management on the engineering of material handling systems to meet customer specifications.
Works with the engineering team to design and enhance conveyor systems, automated and semi- automated material handling systems, static and dynamic storage systems, mezzanines, and modules
Works with projects teams, including planning and organizing work, developing and maintaining schedules, tracking, forecasting, and reporting on project financials, enforcing company safety standards, and ensuring success
Estimates costs and develops bills of material for proposals and orders
Prepares, reviews, and coordinates drawings for proposals, approvals, and installation
Generates AutoCAD drawings from instructions and sketches
Travels to project sites up to 25%
Working toward a Bachelor’s degree Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of AutoCAD; working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced results-oriented environment
Ability to learn the material handling business and assist across teams and divisions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong team orientation
Ability to learn new technology
