Production Designers are involved mainly in print design and the Digital Design Intern will serve to support the rest of the team and any digital design work. The focus of the department includes:


+ Creation of artwork for print output



+ Prepress for client supplied artwork



+ Development projects



+ Concept design work



+ The focus of this position includes:



+ Email broadcasts and digital design



+ Creation of artwork for online output


The Digital Design role is an internship role. The purpose is to provide first-rate designs regardless of the media or format. The Digital Design Intern will:


+ Have exceptional attention to detail and a hunger for creating digital experiences that exceed our client expectations



+ Be well versed in all things digital and be committed to staying at the forefront of digital trends and technologies, both conceptual and executional and understand how to engage audiences with brands in a digital space



+ Create innovative, striking, commanding concept s and then map them so they can be technically executed



+ Provide quality and ongoing improvement of creative designs across digital communications



+ Communicate best practices, guidelines and other processes that support improved customer experience, engagement and sales



+ Contribute to the development of procedures following audit standards


Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions: Design:


+ Drive projects using a broad range of technologies



+ Make educated layout decisions to best suit the digital environment, liaise with other CCS teams to ensure these decisions are efficient and effective



+ Proactively troubleshoot to find new, functional design solutions to client requests



+ Utilize solid UX, HTML / CSS and Javascript skills to deliver exceptional responsive design solutions



+ Develop cross-device design concepts so that one message can be delivered across multiple platforms incorporating print, desktop, tablet, and phone



+ Deliver prompt service, meeting internal and external deadlines



+ Deliver 100% accurate artwork, following style guides, instructions and procedures


Relationship Building:


+ Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with members of the Creative Team and Communication Services, extending to include other divisions of Computershare and external clients



+ Intellectual Capital:



+ Share information within Communication Services to support the continual improvement of the Creative Team


Support the Sales Process:


+ Contribute towards the design of any required marketing collateral to promote Communication Services both internally and externally



+ Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:


+ Either currently pursuing a digital design Bachelor's degree program, or recent graduate



+ Advanced skills in the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and sound understanding of HTML5 & CSS development techniques



+ Depth of experience in branding, user experience and responsive design



+ Ability to thrive in a fast pace environment, and to prioritise work in order to meet delivery deadlines



+ Strong team player, able to work in a high volume and demanding environment



+ Ability to adapt to a changing environment demonstrating flexibility and a passion for achievement
