FIS is hiring summer interns for the InvestOne investment accounting software development team in our Lombard, IL office. Job responsibilities will involve some or all of the following:
Converting JavaServer Pages (JSP) to HTML5 (modifying an automated code generator for some, creating new HTML5 pages for others)
Remediating Veracode security vulnerabilities in JSP and HTML5 pages
General maintenance for JSP and HTML5 pages (bug fixes and small enhancements)
Interns will work in a team environment being coached by onsite experienced developers and managers, participating in the full software development life-cycle, including analysis, design, development, and testing of web-enabled applications.
The intern positions are full-time (40 hrs/week) with flexibility on limited unpaid time off. Please note this position must work full time in our Lombard, IL location.
At least 1 year of college-level education pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field (finance emphasis is a plus, but not required)
Desire to learn financial industry knowledge of investment accounting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to work independently and within a team
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Professional manner in dealing with co-workers and clients, even under pressure
Highly organized with the ability to manage a heavy workload in a dynamic environment
