Job Title Engineering Technician Intern

Job Description

This position will provide a student pursuing a concentration in engineering technology with opportunities to learn and experience working in an automotive applications engineering community. The internship responsibilities will include learning the overall testing flow using interactive tools, as well as actual hands on experience learning to use various types of test & measurement equipment in order to show compliance to specified customer requirements. This intern will gain exposure to interacting with technicians & engineers, using various analysis techniques, and methods as well as using an access database to capture analysis results & create reports.

Basic Qualifications:

Academic: Student pursuing a concentration in engineering technology

Versatile, flexible, ability to multitask

Core Responsibilities:

Be able to shadow Senior Technicians and learn procedures necessary to evaluate returned customer parts. Procedures will include but not limited to using the following to take measurements and save them in our database:

• Visual inspection & taking pictures of units with abnormalities

• Using a multi­meter to perform impedance measurements

• Using protocol analyzers to measure specific currents, voltages, and waveforms

• Using an environmental chamber to perform Hot/Cold Temperature Test

• Using our exhaust gas simulator to validate product specifications

• Registration of parts into Continental Quality Tracking System (CQTS) and into Lab Failure Analysis Database

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Student pursuing a concentration in Engineering Technology

Required Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in a US accredited degree program

• Must maintain a minimum GPA of a 2.8 (Requirement for ALL intern candidates)
