Provides part time sample and stock support to the Showroom Manager and sales staff, with occasional full time hours to cover when Showroom Manager is away, or during busy season .
Must be very detail oriented and highly organized, a lot of tasks will involve using these skills to improve the functionality of the showroom
Assisting in curating palettes for different market segments and presentations
Assume responsibility for the sampling, shipping and courier services and other similar administrative tasks and services.
Works with Showroom Manager to ensure that showroom and sample inventory levels are maintained to service local market, both at Showroom and offsite Mohawk storage space.
Coordinates and fulfills sample orders from showroom and Mohawk Groups storage for designated clients and firms.
Maintain, organize, and track samples daily with provided inventory lists and tracking spreadsheet
Maintain updated working resource library of all product sample books, etc.
Organize Architectural Folders and reorder as needed
Filing samples away that return to the showroom/Mohawk
Work with Showroom Manager to keep up with product deletions.
Maintains, orders/reorders, and receives office supplies, and is proactive about stocking.
Make sure all carpet books in display and library are straight, organized, and spine out
Receives incoming and outgoing packages, and distributes packages and mail to recipients.
Provides basic receptionist duties as backup for Showroom Manager: greets and announces visitors and caterers, etc.
Maintain a professional and clean appearance and atmosphere within the Showroom/Mohawk space
Attending and participating in Mohawk local events, networking with A+D firms, admittance to IIDA events, education and knowledge of the flooring industry, products, flooring design, etc.
Carries out other duties as assigned
Entry Level but must meet core compentencies below.
Excellent customer service skills.
Professional phone manner with the ability to prioritize and function efficiently.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills necessary to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgment and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with all levels of internal and external customers.
Strong analytical skills to interpret/adapt system procedures or operating concepts to fit new situations.
Ability to conceptualize, organize and execute new initiatives
Strong organizational skills – attention to detail and the ability to multi -task and meet deadlines.
Self-Motivator-willing to take the initiative.
Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Gmail/Google preferred.
High school diploma or GED
