Jackson National Life Insurance Company Financial Reporting Busy Season Intern in Chicago, Illinois

Job Purpose

The Financial Reporting Intern's primary responsibility is to assist the Financial Reporting team with daily processes relating to the preparation of fund financial reports.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of mutual fund financial statements and regulatory filings

  • Assist in maintenance and research of security information presented in the Schedule of Investments

  • Support audit related functions

  • Generate and print accounting reports

  • Assist with the review of SEC Edgar reports

  • Perform data reconciliation functions to ensure data in the financial reports agrees to source documents

  • Reconcile security information from accounting databases to Bloomberg

  • Assist with preparation of third party client deliverables

  • Assist with various team projects as required

Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Ability to work 40 hours a week during business hours January through March 2017

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access

Education & Experience

  • Working towards Bachelor's degree in accounting
