nAbout the Northern Trust Intern Program:

n

The Northern Trust Intern Program is a highly competitive ten-week summer program focused on hiring rising senior level undergraduate students. The program provides an opportunity to work in a fast paced and inclusive culture, while utilizing individual skills and abilities to make a positive impact on the company. While interns work directly with their team on day-to-day tasks, they also benefit from having a mentor, participating in professional development activities, and attending senior management informational presentations. Team placements are based on the candidate's experience, skill set and interest.

nAbout Asset Management: n

n

Asset Management serves affluent individuals and families as well as institutional clients in more than 40 countries around the world through core solutions that include fixed income, quantitative and active equity products, and a multi-manager advisory platform.

n

nExamples of prior responsibilities (note: work varies by team placement): n

n

Complete valuation models and analysis on track records for Private Equity investments activities;

n

Work with client service teams to identify product management and servicing projects; and

n

Provide market, industry and competitor research to assist in developing and/or monitoring investment strategy.

n

nExamples of learning objectives (vary by team placement, but may include the following):n

n

n

n

+ Develop functional knowledge of primary investments, secondary investments and direct/co-investments, including basic valuation methodologies; and

n

+ Become proficient in updating/creating client presentation materials for fundraising and ongoing portfolio monitoring purposes.

n

nInternship Programming:

Interns possess the following attributes:

+ Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree from a four year-college or university with a Business, Finance, Economics or related major;

n

+ A minimum of a 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA;

n

+ Experience and/or demonstrated interest in investments/investment management;

n

+ Strong oral and written communication skills;

n

+ n

+ Analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills;

n

+ Adaptability and ability to learn quickly in high-pressure environments;

n

+ Leadership, teamwork and client servicing ability;

n

+ An understanding of diversity and value of inclusion; and
